SCRIPTED PORTFOLIO

Put away that P45. You're not going to need it...

My first ever commission and writing credit. 'Expenses Only' is a radio sketch-sitcom about two opposing interns, Tim and Miranda, in the world of work experience. Each episode see's them both tackling a different industry - Advertising, Graphic Design, Politics and Journalism. It aired in July and August 2016 and is currently being developed for television.

EXPENSES ONLY (BBC RADIO 4)

July 2016 - August 2016

CREATOR & WRITER

I joined Wooden Overcoats in their 3rd season. I orginally wrote the Funn Fragment episode 'The Full Works' from their mini seies as part of their Kickstarter campaign. I then went on to co-write the Summer Special with the show's creator and head writer David K Barnes and also write the penultimate episode of the show's fourth and final season - 'The Last Nail In The Coffin' - which was released in March 2022.

Two of BBC Radio 4's stalwarts of topical and satirical comedy, I was a guest writer on both these shows and managed to get material into the final edit on both programmes first time (which I was told was not a common thing for first time writers).

ALL GLORY

January 2017 - October 2017

CREATOR, WRITER, PRODUCER, ACTOR

The Future is History...

A comedy podcast in which "forgotten" trends and fashions of the past are researched, reviewed and revived for the present day. The only thing is, none of it is real. A semi-improvised faux-factual magazine show written and recorded monthly for on-soap.com, each episode in the series focused on a different theme e.g. dating, literature, travel. It also featured guest stars from the likes of 'Austentatious', Boom Chicago and BBC's 'Murder in Successville'.

The original network closed down and the audio was lost forever. Fortunately, this year Podomedy picked it up and you can now listen to the whole thing on Acast.

THE ADVENTURES OF PROFESSOR ELEMENTAL

November 2017

CO-WRITER, CO-PRODUCER, ACTOR

Co-written and co-produced with the Prof himself (Paul Alborough) and originally optioned for Radio 4 by Pier Productions, this is a wild ride through haunted attics, faraway islands, the gritty streets of Victorian London and the wildest village fete in all of history! There’s never been a radio show like this, probably with very good reason.

Recorded and released in 2017 with a full cast of top heads from the UK comedy circuit, directed by Moog (video director for Cup Of Brown Joy, Fighting trousers) and produced by Tom Caruana (Son Of Sam, Wu-Tang Vs. The Beatles, Professor Elemental). Each features a fully produced soundscape of special effects and brand new songs by the Professor himself. Plus - just look at that gorgeous artwork!

RAMON FEAR'S TERROR TAPES

October 2022 - Present

CO-CREATOR, CO-WRITER, CO-PRODUCER, ACTOR

FEAR IN YOUR EAR...

A horror comedy anthology audio drama. A blend of 'Twilight Zone', 'Creepshow' and 'Garth Marenghi', this is a show inspired by horror across the whole spooky spectrum - from Argento to Fulci to Carpenter to Craven. Each episode features a different story, cast and original music score all weaved together with a unique sound design and hosted by that wrathful raconteur-us rex, Ramon Fear.

Multi-Award nominated including Best Comedy, Best Horrror and Best Fiction at Independent Podcast Awards. This has been my favourite project ever. I'm so proud of the team we assembled - who all worked their socks off - and we had so much fun making it. You can listen to our first series, our specials and our bonus skits wherever you get your podcasts. The show is now part of the network Podomedy.

Subscribe to our newsletter at ramonfear.com/GOREWORD and please sell your soul to the Fear by supporting us via our socials (@TerrorTapesPod) so that we may make more grizzly Terror Tapes to shock your cochleas.

"Great fun. Lots of wit, weirdness and eerie entertainment for Horror film fans" - Greg Day (Co-Director: FrightFest - The UK's Home of Horror)

"It’s super slick, immaculately produced, the soundtrack is great and the writing is excellent!" - Fred Deakin (Lemon Jelly)
